About Erico Bueno

Owner and Head Coach

Born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Erico Bueno initiated his martial arts journey at the age of 14, starting with Judo training in the backyard with a friend. However, it was a transformative moment when he watched the first UFC in 1993 on VHS. Captivated by the dynamic nature of Jiu-Jitsu showcased in the event, he decided to pursue the gentle art.

A decade later, he joined an MMA Club and few years joined Checkmat Team with Master Renato Gardenal to dedicated himself exclusively to training and mastering Jiu-Jitsu.

Following a highly successful career in the healthcare business, where he established himself as a leader in his field, Erico made a life-altering decision in 2019. He relocated to the USA and opened the doors of SUMMIT FIGHT BJJ in Daytona Beach. This space, meticulously crafted, provides a clean, safe, and perfect environment to delve into the essence of Jiu-Jitsu.
